Liège-Guillemins Railway Station

Passenger at Gare De Liège-Guillemins — Liege, Belgium (2015)

Europe is much more of a train culture than the United States. In Europe there are some very beautiful train stations designed by famous architects.

The station in Liege, Belgium is stunning. My family and I went there just to see the station. For photography, the station really is best in the winter evening when there are still a lot of people around but it’s dark outside and all the station’s architectural lights are on.

The picture above would have been nice with just the architectural arches. But the picture is complete with the lone traveler standing up there in silhouette.
