Returning surfer – Bondi Beach, Australia (2016)
My wife and I were lucky enough to visit Australia in 2016. We spent several hours at the famous Bondi Beach. I was hoping to get there early to take pictures of the surfers on the waves. Unfortunately, we got there late in the afternoon and most of the surfers were finishing up.
As we were walking on the beach, I noticed the sun was setting and casting wonderful light on the beach. We hurriedly walked to the other side of the beach from where the bus dropped us. From there, I was able to capture quite a few shots that I just loved. Many of the shots were silhouettes of surfers. The picture above is my favorite from that evening.
